Respiratory/Neurology

You will see a variety of common and some unusual pediatric illnesses. The serivce is a combination of general pediatrics, respiratory and neurology. Patients with primarily respiratory and neurologic problems are cared for by this service, but there are also infants and children with general pediatric or infectious disease illnesses admitted to this service as well. . Patients are all ages. Patients maybe on the Respiratory Care Unit (4 Blue) or the Neurology care units (4 Green).

Rounds begin in the cafeteria talding about "off service patients", but you should arrive on the Respiratory Care Unit (4 Blue) early enough (by at least 7:30) am to contact your senior resident, round on your patients and pick up new patients if needed. To page your senior resident from inside the hospital dial 6600 and then the beeper number. From outside the hospital dial 259- and the beeper number. Work rounds follow radiology rounds in the 4 Green Confernece Room.

Attending Rounds are Monday, Wednseday and Friday at 11 am in the 3 Yellow Conference Room unless otherwise directed.
