ANNOUNCEMENT, MAY 2002 |
The Knots in Washington is a regional conference held every semester, in various locations in the Washington area (see the main KIW page). Every few semesters (e.g. winter 2000, winter 2003) the conference is a larger event (Japan-USA Workshop in Knot Theory) with international participation.
At this point we anticipate Knots in Washington XV to take place Jan 10-15 (Jan. 10-12 at GWU and 13-14 at JHU), just before the Joint Meetings of the AMS, MAA and SIAM in Baltimore (that meeting is Jan 15th-18th, 2003) with many Japanese knot theorists attending. . For abstracts see: (see Abstracts).
The next Knots in Washington Conference will take place May 5-7, at UMD (Marta M.Asaeda, marta@math.umd.edu, is the local organizer)
