A searchable database containing almost 300,000 citations and annotations from volumes 1-58 (1935-1998) of the Handbook, which contains citations in the social sciences and the humanities inlcuding emerging topics.

Provides links to literary, cultural, and news sites for specialists in Western European subjects. French, Italian, and Spanish studies well developed. Includes links to many library catalogs including national libraries.
