an assistant professor in the Department
of Information Systems and Technology Management
at George Washington
University.
Her
research focuses on web mining and text mining
technology as well as their applications in business
intelligence, scientific fields and intelligence
and security informatics domain.
Her
current research can be categorized into several
domains: (1) multilingual knowledge discovery
through cross-lingual information retrieval and
name transliteration; (2) intelligence and security
informatics research; (3) social media-based cultural
difference analysis; and (4) strategic alliance
extraction and analysis using web and text mining
methods.
She
has published in journals such as IEEE Intelligent
Systems, Journal of the American Society
for Information Science and Technology,
Decision Support Systems, and International
Journal of Human-Computer Studies.
She
received a Ph.D. in Management of Information
System from the University
of Arizona, where she was also a research
associate of the Artificial
Intelligence Lab. She received a B.S. in Computer
Science from Shanghai
Jiaotong University. |
