Welcome!
Welcome to the research group website of Dr. Xianqiao Wang at the University of Georgia. Our research is to understand how small scale physical phenomena lead to some particular observable mechanical, electrical and/or biological properties by virtue of multiscale materials modeling, and encompass these findings into materials by design.
Research topics include:
> Multiscale/multiphysics modeling and simulation
> Piezoelectric materials for energy harvesting
> Bio-inspired and bio-mimetic materials
> Growth and instability of biological tissues
> Mechanical and thermal properties of carbon-based nanostructures
