Show's Title:

On Politics

Description of Theme:

While the donkey and the elephant may not vote, their importance in American politics is evident in the “Party Animals” sculptures throughout DC, and their legacy as symbols for the Democratic and Republican parties. Animals play a significant role in today's political culture. From the conflicts of international relations that can be quelled or inflamed with the exchange of pandas, to the implications of avian flu on international exchanges and globalism, to the agencies in the United States designated to protect animals, this show will explore the wide variety of ways in which animals affect politics.
