Join our team!

We are always looking for people to join the Brain and Navigation lab team as research assistants. Working in the lab is a great way to learn about the research endeavor, and can provide outstanding preparation for graduate school. We aim to provide a valuable experience for RAs, whatever their walk of life. Indeed, our alumni have advanced to top-ranked graduate programs and medical schools.

George Washington University students can earn course credits while working in the lab. In this case, we require at least five hours of flexible availability per week, weekly lab meeting attendance, and submission of a short report at the end of semester.

If you are not a GWU student, you can work in our lab as a volunteer. In this case, you can choose the number of hours you would like to work per week, though lab meeting attendance would still be required.

If you are interested, please contact John Philbeck via email (philbeck at gwu dot edu).
