Blackberry Tips and Hints

Deleting/uninstalling BlackBerry applications

NOTE: Be exactly sure what you are doing before attempting this, or your BlackBerry may cease to function properly until software is reloaded.

Go to Options from the Home Screen, click Advanced Options, click Applications. Find the application you wish to uninstall from your BlackBerry, and click the thumbwheel on it, then click Delete. If asked to restart your BlackBerry after deleting the application, do so.

GMail/GoogleMail and BlackBerry

It is well known that messages sent with a POP client through GMail show up in the inbox of that client within a few minutes. This can be pretty annoying and moreso when you're on your BlackBerry. Google mentions this in their help article titles "Why do messages I send appear in my mail client's inbox?".

To fix this, log into your BlackBerry Email Setup, and create a Filter that looks for "From:" your email address, and does NOT forward it to your BlackBerry.
