potential as researchers are invited to join as associate
members. Full membership is conferred upon those who have demonstrated
noteworthy achievements in research. Each year the Society initiates
more than 5,000 new members."

Events in 2012
The section is reactivating following a brief hiatus.
We will plan to have at least two meetings in the spring of 2012. One
will be an organizing social. A second will feature a speaker.
Besides meeting our second goal is to recruit new members and build
momentum. More on plans later. Please write the president if you
have suggestions.
