Professor Lobuts received his EdD and MS from George Washington University
and BS from Fairmont State College. He joined GW in 1970. His interests include
organizational behavior, personnel management, general management, group dynamics and
organizational communication. He has consulted for DC General Hospital, Howard Hughes
Medical Institute, Doe Mountain Ski Resort, Federal Aviation Administration, Agency for
International Development, American Printing Industries, Hospital for Sick Children and
United States Courts. Professor Lobuts was the recipient of the Most Creative Paper Award
from the Association for Business Simulation and Experiential Learning. John has served in several administrative position during his tenure at the University. He served as the Director of Off-Campus Programs from 1970-72. He was the Assistant Dean for Undergraduate Programs from 1972-78 and then became the Assistant Dean for Graduate Programs in 1978, where he served until 1985. In 1985, he returned to full-time teaching and expanded his effort towards research and publishing. John has published articles in the Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of Creative Behavior, Journal of Secondary Education, Journal of Business Education and The Realtor. He has several chapters in books published here and on the European continent. Because of these works and his association with the International Simulation and Gaming Association he has delivered invited papers in China, Romania, The Netherlands, Germany, Scotland, France and Korea.
