Annotated Bibliography

Include:

  • All sources that you have consulted in doing research for this paper. You must have a minimum of ten sources. More are strongly suggested.
  • Correct bibliographic information for each source.
  • A substantial paragraph for each source that discusses the main contributions of the source to your paper topic. This involves giving an indication of what the sources own audience/purpose are as well as how it fits (or does not fit) into your own argument. In the case of primary sources indicate (without excessive summary) how the argument/theme works with your research.
  • Two to three keywords (or phrases) that sum up the major subjects the source encompasses.

The bibliography may be updated if you have consulted additional sources between the time you turn it in and the time you submit your research papers.

When you turn in your final paper, you will also resubmit both your proposal and your annotated bibliography, regardless of whether you have made changes or not.
