This Victorian illustration of Chaucer and his son Lewis is from the Kelmscott edition of The Works of Geoffrey Chaucer (commonly known as the Kelmscott Chaucer), illustrated by William Morris (1834 - 1896). This particular image depicts the Prologue to The Treatise on an Astrolabe, in which Chaucer dedicates the entire work to "litel Lowys my sone."
