OPNET software is used for the following course as a virtual telecommunications and networking simulation and design laboratory

MGT 282 Telecommunications and Enterprise Architectures

Objective To develop an understanding of the underlying technologies involved in modern business, government, and military communications systems, to become aware of the organizations influencing the telecommunications world, to learn how to design requirements-based enterprise network architectures, to simulate and evaluate the proposed network design in order to demonstrate projected performance, to develop a cost and technical proposal for the design, and to document the network infrastructure. Students employ OPNET Software in a collaborative virtual laboratory environment to design enterprise network architectures and evaluate projected network performance employing OPNET simulation tools. Network traffic data is collected from live networks using Network Associates SNIFFER software.
