Welcome!

I am a Ph.D. Candidate in Economics at George Washington University in Washington, DC. Currently I am on the job market and expect to graduate in the summer of 2009.  My fields are Development Economics, Applied Econometrics, Applied Microeconomics, and International Economics.

My research interests are broad and I invite you to look at Research for more detail.

A paper based on my dissertation research is currently under revision for The Review of Economics and Statistics. Right now I am making good progress with GIS software to develop new instruments which were suggested by a referee.  I am excited about this work because it is at the frontier of development economics and economic geography. The 2009 "World Development Report" focuses on economic geography and gives a very good overview of recent developments. Also, Lewbel's revision of his "identification by heteroskedasticity" paper (November 2008) cites my working paper as an empirical example.
