Makeup Policy

If you have a legitimate scheduling conflict with any of the exams, it is your responsibility to notify me of the conflict as soon as you become aware of it. The final decision regarding allowing a makeup exam is the course chair's. See Course Chair's Makeup Policy for more details.

Calculators

Calculators are useful auxiliary tools for the course. However, it will be expected that you can work all of the problems without the aid of a calculator. Calculators will be permitted on exams, but it will be expected that all non-arithmetic work is present and explained in your answer.

Instructor's 20%

Homework problem sets will be assigned and collected weekly. These constitute 20% of the course total. Late problem sets will not be accepted for any reason.
Homework Grading Policies:

Grading

Your grade will be made up of the following components:
The total of these scores will be converted into a letter grade by the following scale:

A: 90% - 100%         C: 70% - 73%
A-: 87% - 90% C-: 67% - 70%
B+: 83% - 87% D+: 63% - 67%
B: 80% - 83% D: 60% - 63%
