EUROPE

London is my European hometown, where I had lived in the Royal College of Surgeons in 1990 while going to school at the University of London in the School of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene, and I ave revisited several times since. I had worke in Lille, France for six weeks in the endocrine surgical service there, and have been a frequent visitor in the lowlands, now more frequently with the institution of the EEC. I have lectured and toured in all other parts of Scandinavian and Mediterranean Europe from Iberia through Italy to Greece and the Balkans, but have been particularly interested in the emergence of the Eastern European states following the collapse of the Warsaw pact, the fall of the Wall and the dissolution of the USSR. I visited the old Eastern Germany before integration was complete, and worked in Romania on Medical Education Redevelopment Project with World Vision. I have just taken on a new effort in continuing education in one of the Commonwealth of Independent States, Kazakastan along the Volga River.

Although I enjoy the cultures and natural history of many of these scattered nations, I am at heart an AFRICANIST!
