Subject: hello
Hi Glenn,
I hope the celebration was fun and that you are now
home again. Thank you
for including me in this trip. I learned alot and
certainly enjoyed working with
this team. The
people of Rwanda have such a great need for help from those
of us who are
able to do so. I'm glad you said "yes" when the request came
your way.
After you left, the Attorney General of the country
wanted advice for the
care of his sister who has paranoid schizophrenia
after being severly
traumatized in the genocide. She is in care of a
psychiatrist in Kigali and I had the
opportunity to talk with him on Friday morning. He is
currently using Haldol
by injection ‑ but she is getting side effects
which are a problem. He is
asking for advice from the US. Do you have a contact
who might be willing to be
in email communication with him? Also is the drug
Zypresa (sp?) would be a
useful alternative.
I will pursue some contacts at Fairfax Hospital ‑
but hoped you might have
folks who could help also.
Again, thank you. I look forward to talking with you
again. Kathy Kelley
