JILL SEAMAN’S RELUCTANT ACCEPTANCE TO THE MMHOF
IN TOLEDO OHIO
From: Glenn Geelhoed
To: Jill Seaman

Subject: Re: Your Election to the Medical Mission Hall
of Fame
Wonderful! I
look forward to meeting you in Toledo, where we will be able to talk over
Sudan, to which I would like to plan a return trip with you as soon as it can
be arranged! I know Father Antonio would
be interested in our getting a plan together to continue "the Miracle in
Old Fangak!"
You will be fresh in from Sudan upon arrival in Ohio,
and I will have returned the night before from Rwanda.
I am leaving this week for Mindanao in Southern
Philippines, and may be unresponsive to emails for a two‑week period out
of contact. But, I look forward to our getting together in Ohio as I am working
diligently in the last week before my departure to garner further
medical/surgical supplies to carry on a future expedition up the White Nile,
with several very significant people in my life who are already interested in
accompanying me!
Cheers!

Dear Lawrence Conway!
Oh course I am completely astounded to be offered such
an award. One
thinks, why me?
I am in no way the same league as those others you
have mentioned.
I am so honored and can only say a simple thank you.
It is a blessing to be offered a "free" to
me ticket to the US. I
actually had planned returning around that time, so
this would fit in
well. Let me
know what presentation is good?
Slides? Powerpoint?
(I simply can not talk well without pictures and the
lights off! And
the pictures show whom we are really honoring of
course).
Thanks so much, I look forward to meeting you all.
