THAT MAY MAKE POSSIBLE MY RETURN TO
AND EXTENSIONS TO
THROUGH A GENEROUS INVITATION TO LECTURE IN

Yes, I am still working on it!
As you will note from the prior email and a letter of invitation to me, I have been in a busy period of a total renovation of my house, which has turned out to be about four times more costly than imagined and much bigger than it started out‑‑but the construction is of very high quality and you may be able to see the results in progress on the front and back sides of the roll of film I access in that email.
This
would mean I might have to curtail a number of my medical missions for the
coming year, and I was reluctant to do so.
At the time I was paring down my participation, an invitation has come
to me from a colleague who had invited me to
I will keep you informed and try to push forward with a plan.
Cheers!

Inspite of the limited time of dessimination, and the 3 non‑working
holidays during the 2‑week proejct, by God's grace, we did 89 surgical
procedures (56 majors), extracted teethg from 289 ptes, with an average of
65 OPD consultations/day. Thse bulk of patients and surgery was a first for
LBH. But the staff carrie the task very well. They welcomed us warmly and
the joy of serving the Lord among them was very evident.
As for the Tboli/Malyabalay it will be on Feb. 7‑21, 2004. I am sorry to
hear that you may not be able to join us at this time. Well, we are a bit
saddened by this news because we've been l;ooking ofrward to seeing you
again. Besides, your devotion and skill in surgery, had ministered to so
many here, and so, they are hoping to see you again! So, we'll pray that
you can still make it here ‑ if not for the whole two weeks, but maybe for
only a week.
God bless you evermore!
Allan
Thank you for your note and your
invitation to me.
Yes, I am back in
As you can see from the photographs at the front
and back of this roll, they have totally gutted the house starting in July, and
have made progress toward the completion of the additions, and will be working
on the interiors in the next weeks. They have put it on a fast track
(since it is one of the bigger projects they have ever undertaken) and suggest
that it will be ready for a "walk-through" by the second week of January.
You are right to begin with--it would have been far less costly to bulldoze and
start from scratch, but the high quality of the construction is encouraging!
What would be the timing of a potential visit to
I have made a medical mission to Mindanao each
year in February for two weeks as a volunteer, and perhaps I might be able to
extend from the Philippines on up to Taiwan after what is proposed as a heavy
two week commitment February 7--21
This is all in the tentative planning stage, but
I will see if it can be worked out.
I am going to be carrying your invitation as I
speak with the others involved in the Philippine "MMI" (Medical
Ministries International," and I will copy them with this note to
you as well.
Enjoy the pictures--and perhaps I may be able to
show you directly the end result!
Cheers!
