Energy Management in Sensor NetworksWireless sensor networks must carry out their tasks under operational constraints, the most important ones being energy consumption and limited-range of communications. Here we show the results of an algorithm designed to organize the sensors into a partition, where ideally each group is able to surveill the entire region of interest. Here we show two instances of the algorithms developed in this project.1. This video shows a network of 100 sensors with equal sensing range and arranged as a lattice. Using game theoretic algorithms, the sensors can organize themselves into 4 groups in order to take turns to maintain surveillance of the region of interes. The algorithm uses local information only -information from their neighbours-, and does not require a central coordinator. |
