Group 1 developed ITOX, the Information Technology Outsource Exchange. ITOX is an online marketplace allowing companies seeking IT services to be matchedwith technology vendors. The ITOX system allows buyers to send a Request ForProposal (RFP) to selected vendors, as well as receive and accept bids fromthese vendors. By providing a convenient, secure, and centralized onlinemarketplace, ITOX seeks to lower costs and facilitate transactions for bothbuyers and vendors.

Group 2  developed the Department of Interior Contracting Office Bidding System (COBS). COBS is an online, user interactive system for contractors to submit bids on Requests for Proposals (RFPs) to build bridges and roads nationwide. Through a secure web site, staff in the Contracting Office may post RFPs for multiple projects and retrieve and assign bid submissions to teams of reviewers who then evaluate the bids using various criteria. The best rated bid for a project will be awarded the contract. COBS can field and administer thousands of bids on numerous projects, yearly. The scalability and increased efficiency of the bidding process through the COBS allows the Department of Interior to aid in improving the nation's physical infrastructure.

Group 3  developed the Cold Food Ordering System (CFOS). CFOS is an online food ordering system used by subway stores, targeted at conventional web as well as PDA users. The system allows customers to place orders in advance and also indicate a pick up time. This reduces the waiting time spent by customers in queues during peak hours. The system also allows the subway stores to generate various revenue and sales reports. CFOS   comprises of an ASP/WML based front end and an ORACLE 8i backend .The software and hardware infrastructure is easily scalable to accommodate any increase in the number of subway stores and customers.

Group 4  developed the Major Studios System (MSS) production system. MSS is a secure system designed for use by Movie Production Studios to maintain and manage films, actors, props, equipment and any other items related to the production of movies. The MSS allows the users to compare whether it is cheaper to hire actors, equipment, props, or reserve a location on a weekly or daily basis. This is very important when looking at the profitability of a movie. By using the MSS, production agencies are able to minimize their costs. MSS also allows up to 15 users to log onto the system via the headquarters. Producers and directors are able to connect to the system over the Internet and print out schedules or run costing reports. This system supports remote user data access in a secure, reliable environment.

Group 4 Group 5 developed the In-Touch constituent management system. In-Touch is a secure on-line, web-based system designed for use by congressional offices to maintain and manage contact with constituents back home, congressional colleagues, and special interest groups. In-Touch also allows up to 25 users to originate and store letters and documents, manage e-mail, perform office tasking and job tracking, and maintain information on such items as congressional bills, appropriations and funding. This system supports remote user data access in a secure, reliable environment. The underlying software and hardware infrastructure is easily scalable to meet the growing needs of the user.
