Group 1 Group one developed the Methadone Treatment Management System for  geographically dispersed, community based, clinics within Northern Virginia.  This t System is an Enterprise Information System, providing a standardized, centralized, Intranet based, on-line, tool for the creation and management of patient information, patient treatment history, and Methadone inventory across many clinics. This data is centrally archived in the industry standard Health Level 7 (HL7) format. In addition, the MTMS implements the HIPPA act of 1996, providing government mandated levels of security for healthcare related data. Because this system is Client/Server, has a standard interface, standard data storage format and follows government regulations for security, it is fully scalable and portable, allowing for easy implementation across Methadone treatment clinics nationwide.

Group 2  developed the eChapters system. eChapters is an online, user interactive system for customers, professors, publishers, and the eChapters staff. The system allows customers (primarily university students) to purchase and downlaod chapters of textbooks in electronic format as PDF files. Publishers upload the textbooks to the website after receiving requests posted by professors. By providing customers a convenient, secure, and centralized place to download chapters of textbooks, eChapters seeks to lower students' education costs. The underlying software and hardware infrastructure is easily scalable to meet any increase in the number of universities supported and publishers.

Group 3  developed a job tracking system for Joint Concepts, a graphic design company. The system provides flexibility in the communication between designer and customer, by bringing the feedback process online. It also affords greater reliability of records by standardizing record-keeping through forms. The tracking system allows customers to post comments, petition for new jobs, review their history, contact administration and change their profile information. More capabilities are offered to designers (post files/ limited searches) and even more to administrators (edit records, assign jobs...). This system aims to provide a convenient and secure online tool. Through these capabilities Joint concepts hopes to add values to customers by making the review process more efficient.

Group 5 developed the MSIST Alumni Website system. The system allows the MSIST program to follow the development of its alumni and provides a virtual community for all parties associated with the program for communicating with each other, sharing information, and aiding alumni in career development. Alumni can register as a member in the system; post jobs, search jobs, and apply for jobs; search for alumni and communicate with an online message board. MSIST program administration can have up to date information of the alumni and make it as a useful resources.

Group 4 Group 8 developed the OnlineCPE.com website system. Online CPE is a secure on-line, web based system designed to be used by professionally licensed individuals that require continuing professional education in order to maintain their professional licenses. Online CPE offers licensed professionals the ability to purchase and take exams for CPE courses online at their convenience. Under the current design, Online CPE is designed to support upto 500 simultaneous users at any time. In addition, Online CPE offers licensees the ability to store their CPE course histories within the Online CPE website and offer the ability for licensees to electronically transmit their CPE course compliance with their respective state licensing boards. The underlying software and hardware requirements are easily scaleable to meet the expanding growth for this website
