       The Fourteenth Conference on Knot Theory and its Ramifications

The Knots in Washington XIV conference was held on Friday, May 17th, 2002. This regional conference is held every semester, in various locations in the Washington area (see http://home.gwu.edu/~przytyck/knots/index.html). The conference took place at The George Washington University in Washington, DC (a few blocks from the White House and Smithsonian Museums). There were several survey talks (50-60 minutes) and research talks (20-30 minutes).

You are always invited to participate in this and future meetings.  The Knots in Washintgon conference occurs every semester and you are cordially invited to give a talk at a future conference.  There is no registration fee!

A party was held Friday night at Yongwu Rong's house.

The next conference, Knots in Washington XV (Second Japan-USA Workshop in Knot Theory), is anticipated to take place in January of 2003 just before the Joint Meetings of the AMS, MAA and SIAM in Baltimore.  Many Japanese knot theorists are expected to attend.
