Welcome to Jerry Feldman's Home Page

I am an Associate Professor in the
Department of Physics at The George Washington University.
I am the Undergraduate Program Director for physics, which means that I deal with issues related to our undergraduate curriculum, recruiting of new physics majors and advising of our present group of physics majors.
I am also the faculty advisor to the GW chapter of the Society of Physics Students (SPS).

My research is in the area of experimental nuclear physics, specifically photonuclear reactions at intermediate energies. My recent work has been focusing on Compton scattering and photodisintegration of light nuclei at the High Intensity Gamma Source (HIGS) at Duke University in Durham, NC and also at MAX-Lab at Lund University in Lund, Sweden. I am also involved in ongoing projects at Jefferson Lab in Newport News, VA and I have previously performed experiments at the Saskatchewan Accelerator Laboratory (SAL) in Saskatoon, Canada.
