My research and teaching interests focus on social and education policy, with a particular focus on issues of race/ethnicity, poverty, and nativity. Current research explores segregation between racial groups as well as between immigrant and native-born students in New York City. Other research examines nativity differences in school performance with the Urban Education Project of New York University.
