The Division of Information Technology (IT) plans to sunset the ACAD service ( in the near future.

How does this affect me?
Personal websites on the ACAD server ( and SSH access to the ACAD server will no longer be available after the sunset date.

Where can I host my personal webpages or documents?

  • Set up a GW Blog
  • Create links to PDF files through document sharing with Google Drive
  • Use Blackboard for your class documents

What will happen to my ACAD account?
A default webpage will be created stating that is no longer available for at least 30 days after the sunset date. We recommend that you archive your account contents prior to the sunset date. If you need assistance in obtaining your content, please contact the IT Support Center at 202-994-4948 or
